Description:
This line of hardware is called "DuraPenn". It is the same hardware that we normally use except that it is coated with a corrosion proof finish. They are less prone to scratching but are very useful in places of high humidity as it will be less prone to rust over time. Normal hardware is made out of steel (the extrusions of the case are aluminum and will not rust) and are coated but over time, and exposed to certain conditions, may start to rust. When upgrading to DuraPenn, you are upgrading to large handles (bigger than what we normally use on standard cases), larger corners and the medium latches are MOL, which means they are spring loaded and when you twist them, they automatically pop out. Certain cases we cannot upgrade these to due to the size of the handle and corner but we'll make you aware of that when you upgrade to it or you can email us to see if it is compatible.
Note: the finish is gray but a little duller than the aluminum, braces, etc.
